News from Ambedkar Harijana Sangham, Anantpuram, A.P.

Ambedkar Harijana Sangham {AHS] is working, HIV/Aids Affected and infected children’s  and women trafficking  in Anantapur District Andhra Pradesh, India.

Anantapur is the largest district in Andhra Pradesh known to have second least rainfall after Jaisalmer of Rajasthan. Majority depending upon rain crop especially groundnut. Due to low rainfall,  and no means of other major water source, Natural Resources, industries created drought condition in this area. These conditions lead to low Agricultural output, unemployment poverty, labor migration, child labor, poor education & women trafficking creating huge imbalance in the economic condition in the society, with no work, no education some of the children in this area have become chain snatchers, luggage lifters drug addicts. We are providing vocational training,education, motor mechanism, carpentry etc.

Anti Women Trafficking:

AHS organization sector 63 manuals in Anantapur Dist. Andhra Pradesh

We have formed vigilance group, Anti Trafficking committee’s in mandal and  village level.  We have also conducted   Seminars at District and Mandal levels with support from all the line Departments.

Rescue Operation

Our staff also participated in rescue operation at Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi and Bangalore. We   saved 470 women and girls from trafficking.

 Rehabilitation:

 AHS organization provides to shelter home for trafficking victims skill, trainings education, health support to children living with HIV/Aids affected and infected.  We are planning to sending to the RDT Bathalappalli Freedom foundation Bangalore and for this we are looking for financial support from individuals, organisations.
